I was already a veteran user of this mastering suite at that point, and back then I said, "Writing about WaveLab is like writing a review of my brain." So now, 11 years later, writing about WaveLab 9.5 is like trying to describe my DNA! It's difficult. In this case, please close unneeded windows.Longtime readers with amazing memories may recall my review of WaveLab 6.

This can be avoided by disabling HiDPI support for WaveLab (right-click on WaveLabPro_9_5.exe or the application’s shortcut > Properties > Compatibility). Windows: Without high resolution support, the plug-ins might appear very small. MacOS: 3rd party plug-ins are scaled if they do not support high resolutions (blurry). 3rd party plug-in developers are responsible for high resolution support on their own.The plug-ins are scaled to the correct size, but look blurry. The main application supports HiDPI natively on Mac and Windows while the internal plug-in set still is restricted to lower resolutions. However, there are some points to keep in mind:

WaveLab Pro 9.5 is the first WaveLab version with HiDPI support. To display all these elements properly on today’s high-resolution UHD 4K/5K/Retina displays, operating systems as well as applications have to be able to render the GUI at different scaling factors. Some of them are standard UI elements like buttons and knobs, tons of little icons, musical data in the arrangement and editors, plug-in windows, and a lot of text. The graphical user interface (GUI) of a an application like WaveLab is made from thousands of small pieces.
